Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss, a bluegrass fiddler from Tennessee who was 19, became a world-renowned artist in 1990, after being awarded the Grammy Award in 1990 for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat that was not solely due to Krauss's old age, as the album that earned her such recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling, was actually the third in Krauss's collection. Her debut album, Too Late to Cry came out when she was Champaign, Illinois, native was 16years old. She had agreed to sign a contract with Rounder Records--one of the top folk music labels that exist in the world--at the age of 14. Her achievements even at a young age, and as well as her virtuosity, are consistently confirmed by the fact that she's maintained her devotion to bluegrass, one of America's oldest and least appreciated musical genres. Krauss is now an experienced performer and producer who had gained experience from her time as a teenager phenom. Alison Alison Alison
